Rebels Prevail, as Sweet Sixteen Goes to the Wire

The Mississippi Rebels were paced by a strong offensive output from Arnold Studdert as they downed the South Florida Bulls 2-1 to win the Sweet Sixteen.
Mississippi won the final game by a score of 9-8 at Swayze Field to send themselves off to the Elite 8.
"I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said shortstop Studdert, who was named MVP.
For the series, the MVP hit .636 with a .714 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Elite 8 matchups and schedule will be announced after the Sweet Sixteen finishes.
