Horned Frogs Fletcher Lost for Year Monday, May 10th , 2055 The doctors have spoken and Bryan Fletcher of the Texas Christian Horned Frogs didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Fletcher sustained his season-ending injury during the Washington Huskies game yesterday at Husky Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Texas Christian medical staff reported Fletcher had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months. Fletcher has taken the mound for 11 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-0 record with a 3.60 ERA. The Texas Christian reliever has limited opposing batters to a .323 batting average. |
