Commodores Move on to National Championship Monday, June 5th , 2051 With a narrow 2-1 series win, the Vanderbilt Commodores have eliminated the Baylor Bears and are Final Four winners. "We tried not to look ahead to the National Championship, but we thought we'd be there for sure," said right fielder Jim Anderson, who was named series MVP. Vanderbilt won the final game by a score of 7-4, wrapping it up at Baylor Ballpark. Anderson's big series saw him hit .800 with a .800 on-base percentage.
