Sunday, June 11th , 2051
The future of the Tennessee Volunteers will not include Artie Jordan.

Much-criticized for his in-game managing by local scribes of late, Jordan has been fired as manager of the Volunteers.

The decision is believed to have been made primarily by the team's owner, who was always quick to publicly criticize Jordan's decisions on the field and in the clubhouse.

When reached at his home in Tennessee, owner The owner of the Tennessee Volunteers said the decision was made "in the best interest of the team," but he refused to elaborate on the specific reasons which led to the firing.

Jordan told BNN he plans to explore his options for another job in baseball.

"I'll miss Tennessee and I'll miss the Volunteers, but I won't miss having everything I do second-guessed," he said.
