Friars Lose Robbins for Season Wednesday, May 19th , 2055 The season is finished for Jon Robbins of the Providence Friars. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Friars closer suffered a torn triceps while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Kentucky Wildcats. Team doctors said it would take at least 4 months to heal. Robbins has nailed down 9 saves to date. In 34 innings he has fanned 44 batters and walked 25.
