Butler Season Won't Continue in Playoffs Sunday, May 24th , 2054 The Butler Bulldogs players and coaches held a closed-door meeting today after the club was eliminated from postseason contention. "We just wanted to talk about the season and where we are right now and how we get to our ultimate goal," said a dejected Paul Hill. "We don't want to have this feeling next season." The Bulldogs have missed the playoffs 26 times in their 29 years as a College Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 11th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2043. Butler last won the National Championship in 2033. |
