Hawkeyes Dominate, Sweep Sweet Sixteen Thursday, May 27th , 2055 The Iowa Hawkeyes are on to the Elite 8 after a convincing series win over the Purdue Boilermakers. Iowa wrapped up the series sweep with a 11-4 win in the last game, to take the series 2-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Dan Martin, who was named series MVP. For the series, Martin hit .800 with a .818 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 6 runs.
