Beavers Heading to Elite 8 Thursday, May 27th , 2055 The North Carolina State Wolfpack were simply overmatched by the Oregon State Beavers in the Sweet Sixteen. The end result was a sweep, as Oregon State has cruised to the Elite 8, with the final win coming at Goss Stadium at Coleman Field by a score of 11-5. "We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Edward Nance, who was named MVP of the Sweet Sixteen. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this." For the series, Nance hit .625 with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.
