Conner 5-for-6 Against Ducks Monday, April 25th , 2050 Even as a kid, Adam Conner said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium today, Conner showed how well he learned that lesson. The 18-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the North Carolina Tar Heels, helping his team knock off the Oregon Ducks by a score of 11-3. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Adam Conner singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Daniel McSourly in the 8th.
