Solano 6-for-7 for Jayhawks Wednesday, April 1st , 2054 It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Juan Solano. Solano went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Oklahoma pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park, he had a 6-for-7 line and a day he will long remember. And the Kansas Jayhawks had a win, 22-2, over the Sooners. "Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview. Juan Solano singled in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Matt Farr in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Gary Booth in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
