Razorbacks Get No Resistance from Wildcats in 12-0 Beat-Down
Friday, April 3rd , 2054
It wasn't easy but the Arkansas Razorbacks made it look that way.
Starter Bill Simmons shut out the Arizona Wildcats despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Arkansas Razorbacks cruised to victory, 12-0. Simmons allowed only 1 hit and rang up 9 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.
"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."
