Young on Fire: Burns Connecticut with 3 HR Wednesday, April 15th , 2054 Some days you can't have it all, as Illinois Fighting Illini third baseman Cedric Young discovered when he cracked three homers against the Connecticut Huskies, and still lost. "I have mixed emotions about this game," he said. "It's great to hit three homers, but it's hard to be happy when you lose the game." The 20-year-old got his name in the league record books, but the Huskies walked away with the triumph, 11-10, at J.O. Christian Field. Young finished the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats and 4 RBIs. "I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," he said in the postgame interview.
