Iowa Loses McDermott for Year Friday, May 20th , 2050 When Iowa first baseman Clark McDermott was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Hawkeyes-Bearcats game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that McDermott had sustained a torn posterior cruciate ligament and will be out for about 9-10 months.
