Mississippi Won't Make Playoffs Saturday, May 21st , 2050 The Mississippi Rebels players and coaches held a closed-door meeting today after the club was eliminated from postseason contention. "We just wanted to talk about the season and where we are right now and how we get to our ultimate goal," said a dejected Doug Dickson. "We don't want to have this feeling next season." The Rebels have missed the playoffs 36 times in their 44 years as a College Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2046. In the last 10 seasons, the Rebels have missed the playoffs 6 times. Mississippi last won the National Championship in 2022. |
