Texas Narrowly Wins NCAA Big 12 Tuesday, May 24th , 2050 Equal parts jubilation and relief swept over the Texas Longhorns clubhouse tonight. The team captured the NCAA Big 12 crown, by the slimmest of margins. "We're happy, excited, overjoyed, relieved, anxious - a lot of emotions going through our heads," said starting pitcher Derek Sales. "It's really hard to describe the wave of feelings you get going through a pennant race like this." The Longhorns can now put the pennant push behind them and focus on the postseason, where the club will enter the bid for the National Championship with a 27-24 record. It is the 5th time the Longhorns have won the division in their team history and they are seeking a 2nd College Baseball championship. |
