Kentucky Takes Sweet Sixteen in Deciding Game Friday, May 27th , 2050 The fans in Kentucky are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Louisiana State. The Kentucky Wildcats finished off the Louisiana State Tigers 14-3 in the deciding game of the Sweet Sixteen played at Alex Box Stadium. They took the series 2-1 and will now head to the Elite 8. For his standout play, Kentucky third baseman Samuel Evans was voted the series' Most Valuable Player. He batted .385, drove in 3 runs and scored 4 to lead his club to victory. "We could never really figure out how to pitch to Evans and that doomed us," said Tigers manager Leroy Sibbald. "Hats off to Kentucky, though. That was a great series."
