Florida Takes Sweet Sixteen Friday, May 27th , 2050 There's joy in Florida tonight as the Gators took the Sweet Sixteen to the brink and came out on top. The Florida Gators have advanced to the Elite 8, by edging the Indiana Hoosiers 2-1, with the final blow coming in a 3-0 win at Sembower Field. "Whether or not there's bad blood on the field, we respect Indiana and their players and that was one heck of a series," said Florida right-hander Tadeusz Dobrzechowski, who earned series MVP honors. "You've got to give them credit, as in the end they pushed us right to the edge and that's a big test." For the series, Dobrzechowski had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched.
