Wildcats Prevail, as Elite 8 Goes to the Wire Monday, May 30th , 2050 Depending on your loyalties, the Elite 8 was either thrilling or heartbreaking. The series went down to its final game, with the Kentucky Wildcats and the Arizona State Sun Devils giving their fans plenty of drama. In the end, the Wildcats came out on top, winning 6-3 at Packard Stadium today to take the series 2-1. "We're lucky to be going into the Final Four," said Kentucky pitcher Samuel Evans. "If all the series are like this, it'll definitely be an entertaining postseason." Evans earned series MVP honors, hitting for a .636 average, with 0 home runs, 3 RBI and 3 runs scored.
