Hitting Streak Still Alive for Badger
Sunday, April 26th , 2054
With 1 hit at Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field, Parker Badger added another game to his hitting streak -- the Miami center fielder has now hit safely for 20 games in a row. But the hitting feat wasn't enough for the Hurricanes, as they fell, 7-5, to the Oregon Ducks.
"Frankly, I don't care about hits," Oregon manager Dani RodrÃguez said later. "I'll let him get 3 hits in 3 at-bats if it means we get a win." Parker Badger singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
Thus far this season, Badger is hitting .360 with 7 home runs, 28 RBIs and 25 runs scored. He has 40 hits in 111 at-bats and has played in 26 games.
