Season May Be Over for Longhorns Yates Saturday, May 9th , 2054 The Longhorns received bad news this morning. Chad Yates will miss 4-5 months due to a torn meniscus. He sustained the injury in the Texas-Georgia game while throwing a pitch. "I'm disappointed more than anything," he told reporters later in the day. "You can't help your team on the bench," Yates sighed. "I'll do the rehab work and hope for a quick recovery." His stats sheet for the year shows Yates has managed to hold opponents to a .200 average in 6 relief appearances, while putting up 0-1 record with 14 strikeouts and 4 walks in 9.1 innings. He has a 0.96 ERA with no saves. |
