Illinois Eliminated from Playoff Contention Thursday, May 21st , 2054 Fans of the Illinois Fighting Illini will no doubt look back at a handful of games and wonder what could have been, if only a few things had gone differently. For now, the focus turns to next season, as the club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. The Fighting Illini have made the playoffs 13 times in their 48 years as a College Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2052. In the last 10 seasons, the Fighting Illini have made the playoffs 3 times. |
