Hitting Streak Still Alive for Córdova Tuesday, April 11th , 2051 Jesús Córdova has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Seton Hall first baseman picked up 2 more today against the UCLA Bruins and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Pirates won the game 14-12. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Jesús Córdova hit a sac fly in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Randall Owens in the 6th and flied out in the 7th. Córdova is currently hitting at a .390 pace with 4 home runs and 19 RBIs. |
