Nittany Lions End Bannatyne's Streak
Sunday, April 29th, 2035
Michigan catcher Brad Bannatyne came into today's game against the Penn State Nittany Lions on a hot streak. He left on a cold one.

The Nittany Lions did their jobs well, beating the Michigan Wolverines 7-6 and holding Bannatyne hitless to snap his 20-game hitting streak. The 20-year-old catcher had a few words to say after finishing 0-for-3, telling reporters only that he "came up short."

"What Brad did was exciting and quite an achievement," said Wolverines manager Alfredo Bermúdez. "It's tough enough to get one hit in this league, much less go 20 games in a row. I'm even more proud of the way he handled the press coverage. He never let the frenzy get to him or affect his play."

This year Bannatyne is hitting .449 with 2 home runs and 15 RBIs in 22 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .515 with 11 walks and 24 runs scored.
