Vargas Electric in 2-0 North Carolina State Win Monday, April 24th , 2051 Eduardo Vargas of North Carolina State easily handled the Villanova Wildcats, stopping them on 4 hits and chucking a complete-game 2-0 shutout. "He really did a job on us," said Villanova manager Stan Bates. "He had good command of his pitches. He changed speeds well and confused us. We never could zero in on him, but he certainly zeroed in on us." He finished the game with 11 strikeouts and 4 walks in a solid outing. This season Vargas has compiled a 2-3 record with a 5.03 ERA.
