3 Home Runs for Craig
Sunday, April 11th , 2055
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Matt Craig discovered that today at Foley Field, as he smashed three home runs during the 19-3 Georgia Bulldogs win over the Iowa State Cyclones.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Georgia first baseman said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Craig, who leads the NCAA in bases on balls with 18, finished the day with 3 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs.
Matt Craig hit a three-run home run off David Collins in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off David Collins in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jason Davis in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
Currently Craig is batting .302 with 8 home runs and 23 RBIs.
