Tigers Bainton Blanks Spartans Sunday, May 19th , 2047 Glen Bainton held the Michigan State Spartans to 2 hits and fashioned a fine 4-0 shutout at Alex Box Stadium today. Speaking after the game, Louisiana State Tigers manager Jimmy McIntosh said "Bainton had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful." Bainton rung up 10 strikeouts and surrendered 3 walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Michigan State manager Xavier Sánchez told reporters.
