Florida State Loses Washington for Year Tuesday, May 2nd , 2051 The doctors have spoken and Chad Washington of the Florida State Seminoles didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Washington sustained his season-ending injury during the Creighton Blue Jays game yesterday at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Florida State medical staff reported Washington had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. |
