2051 Best Player Picked By AWL

Firuz Djidjishvili took Arizona Winter League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 20.
For his spectacular campaign, the Glendale Desert Dogs star has been named the 2051 Arizona Winter League AWL Most Valuable Player recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder.
On the season he compiled a .333 batting average to go with a .362 on-base percentage. The native of Jackson, Tennessee also added 7 doubles, 2 triples, 7 home runs, 15 RBIs and 16 runs scored.
He received 7 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. John Hopper of the Scottsdale Scorpions finished second in voting, while Augusto Chávez of the Glendale Desert Dogs finished third.
