Ellis Orr Chosen AWL's Premier Player

Ellis Orr took Arizona Winter League by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 21.
For his spectacular campaign, the Surprise Saguaros star has been named the 2055 Arizona Winter League AWL Most Valuable Player recipient.
"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the left fielder.
On the season he compiled a .375 batting average to go with a .496 on-base percentage. The native of Trenton, Tennessee also added 3 doubles, no triples, 16 home runs, 36 RBIs and 29 runs scored.
He received 7 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Jerry Woods of the Glendale Desert Dogs finished second in voting, while José López of the Mesa Solar Sox finished third.
