Hat Trick of Home Runs for Slaughter
Wednesday, January 21st , 2054
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Myles Slaughter did at Saguaros Ballpark, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 12-3.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Slaughter said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Surprise Saguaros left fielder blistered the Glendale Desert Dogs for 3 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Glendale manager Sergio Gómez said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Myles Slaughter hit a three-run home run off Rick Wortham in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Rick Wortham in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Josh Cantrell in the 4th and flied out in the 6th.
This season, Slaughter is batting .280 with 14 hits, 5 home runs, 14 RBIs, .333 OBP and has scored 8 runs.
