Bad News for Surprise, Pierce Injured Wednesday, February 2nd , 2050 When Derek Pierce was hurt against the Salt River Rafters, the Surprise Saguaros were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 24-year-old reliever suffered a partially torn labrum throwing a pitch in yesterday's game.
