Grand Canyon Antelopes Hurler AWL's Premier Pitcher Wednesday, February 9th , 2050 The Grand Canyon Antelopes have a rising superstar or maybe even a budding Hall-of-Famer in the making. It's Robert Davis, this year's Arizona Winter League AWL Best Pitcher selection. This blossoming hurler wowed fans, peers and sportswriters with a fabulous performance. Davis compiled a 6-0 record in 6 starts, tallied 43 strikeouts in 37.1 innings and recorded a 1.45 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .237 batting average against him. He received 7 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Alejandro Galván of the Glendale Desert Dogs finished second in voting, while Ángelo Longoria of the Surprise Saguaros finished third.
