González Collects Cycle
It was a special day for Rubén González at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Not only did González's North Carolina State Wolfpack beat the Clemson Tigers, 27-7, but the center fielder hit for the cycle along the way.

The 20-year-old González racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 5 runs batted in and 4 runs scored.

"He hit everything we threw," said Tigers manager Chris Tillman. "There was just no getting him out today."

Speaking to the press after the game, González said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs."

"I got some good looks today," he said.

Rubén González tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Michael Warner in the 6th, walked in the 8th and walked in the 9th.

So far this season, González is batting .310 with 3 home runs, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 18 hits in 58 at-bats, 8 walks and a .403 OBP. González has played in 13 games.
