Watertown Headhunters third baseman Lee Almond had a day to remember at Townies Stadium, ripping apart the Charleston Townies and sparking the 29-1 Headhunters win.

Almond wrote his name in the record books with a 5-hit barrage, finishing his special day 5-for-5.

"I'm usually a first ball hitter," Almond told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it."

Lee Almond hit a GRAND SLAM off Gilles Chartier in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off José Ferreira in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This season, Almond has 15 home runs and a .234 batting average.
