North Stars Lose to Rebels in Walk Off
|
The Boston Rebels got a stellar performance from pitcher Dave Lee, who handcuffed the Minnesota offense en route to a win, 3-2, at Rebels Park. Boston pitcher Harris Gentry got the win. He's now 3-0. Markus Blackwell was tagged with the loss. The last-place Rebels are now 64-82, the North Stars 76-70.
Sean Rice found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the 13th. Facing Minnesota hurler Markus Blackwell, the 20-year-old designated hitter grounded out, driving in 1 run. His 2nd RBI of the season put the Rebels on top, 3-2.
"We played hard and won," said Lee. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
