Irvine Wins, Brown goes 3-for-4
The Irvine Gang Green defeated the Maui Wave, 18-7, at The Ballpark at Irvine. Irvine was led by 23-year old second baseman Alex Brown, who was 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 3. Errol William earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record is now 5-2. With the victory, the Gang Green upped their record to 103-47.

Center Fielder Ken Clement made an impact for Irvine, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Alex Simpson in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Clement went 2 for 5 with 2 doubles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Irvine manager David Adams.
