Irvine Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Irvine Gang Green withstood an impressive performance by Maui second baseman León Corona to defeat the Wave, 6-5, at The Ballpark at Irvine. Corona hit 3 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring three times. Irvine reliever Bob Prescott picked up the win, raising his record to 4-3. Kevin Clark was tagged with the loss. Irvine is now 12-14.

The decisive blow was delivered by Ken Clement in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Clark to win the game for Irvine. The home crowd went nuts.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Clement. "And not try to do too much."
