Calhoun Goes 6-for-6
A jubilant Clancy Calhoun joined the postgame press conference at SunTrust Park to offer some unusual words of encouragement -- for the Santa Fe HS Chiefs pitching staff he had just vanquished.

"It may not have looked like it," said the Santa Ana HS Braves left fielder, "but I saw some awful good pitches today. If luck hadn't been on my side it might have turned out a lot different."

That would not have been the conclusion of anyone who saw his dominant 6-for-6 hitting performance, which led to the 7-6 Braves win.

"He made it look easy," said Robbie Hopps, manager of the Chiefs. "We never figured out what to do with him. Obviously."

Clancy Calhoun singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mauro Durán in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th and singled in the 11th.
