High School CL Top Player Is Houston

He may have less experience than most of his High School Stars League peers, but that didn't slow Matt Houston down at all in 2054.
At the age of 14, the Joliet HS first baseman has been named the winner of the High School CL Outstanding Hitter Award.
He had a .477 batting average and a .585 on-base percentage this year. In 40 games he piled up 71 hits, 20 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and 56 runs scored.
"I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year."
He received 21 first place votes out of a possible 60. Héctor López of the Randall HS Raiders finished second in voting with 18 first place votes, while Hang-yu Yi of the Bishop Gorman HS Crusaders finished third with 9 first place votes.
