The 5th time is the charm -- at least for Lindsay Mettrick.

The center fielder for the Tacoma HS Torchmen hit the milestone against the Oceanside HS Pirates, helping his club to a narrow 8-7 victory. Mettrick finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate.

"Mettrick was a tough out," Oceanside HS manager Diego Torres told the press in the postgame interview. "If it weren't for him, I think we had this one."

Lindsay Mettrick walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
