After a 5-hit effort to lead Bishop Amat HS's 12-6 victory over the Oklahoma City HS Magicians, third baseman Marvin Wilson told BNN beat writers it had been "a special day."

"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "Three or four is better, but five or more is out of sight. And to do that at the High School Stars League-level is really something special."

The 14-year-old player earned his accolades at Vendettas Ballpark with a spectacular 5-for-5 game against the Magicians.

"His swing is getting there," said Lancers skipper Carlos Martínez, who spoke glowingly of Wilson after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Marvin did that to perfection."

Marvin Wilson hit a solo-shot off Malcolm Kendrick in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Malcolm Kendrick in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off Brent Dibble in the 8th.

In 13 games Wilson is hitting .375 this season with 18 hits, 6 home runs, 13 RBIs, 5 walks, .434 OBP and has scored 8 runs.
