The Maui Wave defeated the Dallas Steers, 4-1. Doing his part was shortstop Homer Laslett, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double. The win went to Dudley Harris in relief. His record improves to 6-2. Doug Dickson took the loss. The 6th-place Steers have dropped 4 straight games.

Maui used a clutch at-bat from León Corona to capture the win. The first baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wave ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Corona.
