Sheens Rally For Late Win Over Wave
|
The St. Charles Sheens picked up a win at Rainbow Stadium, taking down the Maui Wave, 4-1. Starting pitcher Chad O'Slattery was a big reason why. St. Charles pitcher Octávio Colón got the win. He's now 1-0. Louie Vroom was tagged with the loss. At 38-29, the Sheens claim second place in the Water Division.
The game was at a stalemate until center fielder Brendon Aiken came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Maui pitcher Louie Vroom, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting St. Charles on top, 3-1.
"A great team win and something real positive we can build on," said O'Slattery after the game.
