State College No Match for Edgar Monday, August 27th, 2035 Long Beach Challengers fans were pleased to see so many goose eggs up on the scoreboard as Rob Edgar blanked the State College Spikes, 8-0 at Dirty South Park today. Edgar stopped them on 6 hits while walking 1 and striking out 7. "Once he gets in a groove, he can be dynamite," Challengers skipper Júlio Álvarez said. "He was on top of his game in this one." So far this year Edgar has made 2 starts, tossed 24 innings, struck out 26 batters and walked 6. His record is 2-1 with a 2.62 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .264 batting average.
