Lyons Hits in 20 Straight Games Tuesday, April 27th , 2055 Harvey Lyons's consecutive-game hitting streak has now climbed to 20 games. The Rutgers first baseman smacked 1 hit against the Missouri Tigers in today's game at Bainton Field, but he expressed mixed emotions about the streak after watching the Scarlet Knights drop the game, 4-1. "I feel good about the streak, but don't feel good when we lose," he told reporters. "I'd love to get a hit as well as a win next time so I can celebrate properly." Harvey Lyons walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. Lyons is batting .435 this year with 8 home runs, 25 RBIs and 23 runs scored. He has 50 hits in 115 at-bats. |
