Cougars Plugged by Ruíz, Pirates, 7-0 Friday, May 19th , 2051 Juan Ruíz of the Seton Hall Pirates humiliated the Washington State Cougars at Owen T. Carroll Field today, spinning a complete game shutout and holding the visitors to 6 hits. "He stayed aggressive and his ball was really moving," said Washington State manager Bill Sommer, after the game. Ruíz whiffed 10 and walked 3 in the 7-0 win. "If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," Ruíz said. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
