Hit Parade: Howard Gets Cycle

Most fans have never seen a player hit for the cycle, and most players have never done it -- but it happened today at Buffaloes Ballpark. Jeff Howard of the Colorado Buffaloes accomplished the feat against Kansas State Wildcats.
Howard went 5-for-6 with 2 singles, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run in the 27-2 Colorado victory.
"That was one for the grandkids, am I right?" Howard said after the game.
Howard also scored 4 runs and had 7 runs batted in in a day to remember for both Howard and the crowd at Buffaloes Ballpark.
Jeff Howard singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Dean Parks in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a three-run triple in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, walked in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
Howard has a .294 average and a .394 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 50 hits, 8 home runs and driven in 31 runs.
