Taylor Goes 5-for-6 Against Boston College
Friday, April 30th , 2055
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Steve Taylor of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Taylor went on a tear at Sewell-Thomas Stadium and cracked hit after hit off Boston College pitching. When the dust settled on the diamond, the 18-year-old shortstop had a career 5-for-6 day and something he will long remember.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but I don't think I'll tell them we lost," he joked in the BNN postgame interview.
Despite Taylor's personal accolades, the Boston College Eagles walked off the field with the 14-13 win.
Steve Taylor singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year, Taylor is batting .299 with 8 home runs and 29 RBIs. In 31 games he has scored 19 times.
