No Playoff Berth Coming for Rutgers Wednesday, May 20th , 2043 The mood in the Rutgers Scarlet Knights clubhouse was noticeably subdued today, as the club's fate on the season was officially sealed -- they will miss the postseason. "We put ourselves in this position," said Scarlet Knights closer Derrick Stafford. "Nobody to blame but us." Rutgers last appeared in the postseason in 2039. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 29 times in their 37 - year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Scarlet Knights have made the playoffs 3 times. |
