Sun Devils Prevail, as Elite 8 Goes to the Wire Thursday, June 1st , 2051 The Arizona State Sun Devils are heading to the Final Four, having narrowly defeated the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Arizona State edged Nebraska in the series 2-1, with a win at Packard Stadium in the clinching game by a 10-8 margin. Walter Palácios turned in a strong offensive performance for the Sun Devils and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a National Championship win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Palácios continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .538 with a .571 on-base percentage.
