Villanueva Rips Colorado for 5 Hits Sunday, May 15th , 2050 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for José Villanueva, it came around today. The 18-year-old right fielder scattered hits all over Buffaloes Ballpark to pace the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a 15-10 victory over the Colorado Buffaloes. Colorado skipper Wally Harris told reporters in the press room that "Villanueva deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Villanueva hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." José Villanueva singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Ronald Maynard in the 4th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th, singled in the 9th and hit a two-run double in the 10th.
